The 30 villages surrounding kokori township are: Erhanaka,Erin,Erhoike,Isicheri,IJoro,Urhuokpe,Erhokorhi,Okuevwavwa,Okuidjidjerhe,Olumale,Uti,Egbogho,Ikhukhu,Idjenuwa,Egbukuadje,Onose,Okurekrudu,Okurumiawhwa,Okuakporkona,samagidi,Okorurhushue,Isiokolo,Etukpere,Onohwakpor,Akpokovo,Osedjor,Ogoito,Okuregbe,Ejumwemwuvwo and otuyo.
kokori has a controversial population figure of 28,877 people by 1990 projected figure of the 1963 census.this figure was rather incorrect and too low.it was caused by low turn-out due to lack of sufficient enlightenment information by government agents,lacks of people interest and fear of taxation.However,the current figure,to say the least,should be nothing below 50,000 people.
KOKORI HAS MANY INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES NAMELY:-
(a) 3 secondary schools-:Egbo commercial grammar school,Kokori boys grammar school and Kokori girls grammar school.
(b)9 primary schools:-those in egbo village area are -ekrakra,emehwu,samagidi and egbogho, while those in kokori township area are urhuokpe,okorhi,ike,oziegbe and erhijere.also there is one children nursery school in umiahwa quarter of kokori township.
(c)Health amenties:-1 maternity home,1 health centre, 2 hospitals-one owned by chief emonefe and the other by shell company.
(d)social amenities:-1 semi mordern market,2 motor parks,1 town hall,4 standard hotels/restaurants-onokurefe hotel with lodging facilities,evergreen,omienmienogbunu and standard hotel;full fledged post office;electricity supply,high court,plice station,customary court,local government secretariat and defunct sdp secretariat.
(e) industrial projects:-bread and biscuit baking,fish rearing,palm oil producing,soap making,poultry and piggery,woodwork.
As at the time of the ancient days of kokori outlet roads were hardly motorable and no portable pipeborne water was available for drinking.The inhabitants were still taking the risks of drinking shallow and uncovered earth well water.
