KOKORI ORIGIN AND MIGRATIONS
CHAPTER TWO KOKORI ORIGIN AND MIGRATION.. ORIGIN Kokori's original name was ''UKORI'' and her people were called ''Uhwokori'',an abbreviation of ''Ihwo-ru-Ukori''.The Uhwerun people changed the name to ''KOKORI'' when Agbon people led by Ukori migrated to stay on their land.The colonial administrations further changed the name to Kokori which she bears till today.The changes came from wrong pronunciation of the original name as caused by intonation or accent of language in the prevailing circumstances at the time. Ukori was one of the four sons begotten by a man called ''AGBON'' a benin name meaning ''WORLD''.The four sons whose name come in order of seniority: Okpara,Ukori,Eku and orhokpor(now renamed to Orhoakpor).Okpara,Ukori and Orhokpor were born by one mother,while Eku was born alone by another mother.
